We are excited to present an exhibition of new works by Rowan Corkill opening Saturday 3rd December @solaris_print. Preview 6 to 8pm.

This exhibition explores the turbulent relationship humans have had with the natural world in both the past and present-day, through hunting pastimes and consumerist products, as well as ideas surrounding our own mortality as a species. Including the use of found imagery in the form of early 20th Century photography and late 19th Century publication illustrations, these images have a strong emphasis on colonialism, as well as hunting as a general pastime. Household paint colours also have a prominent role in the exhibition as a symbol of western consumerism and our own effects on nature in the 21st Century.

Rowan Corkill is a Scottish artist who has exhibited internationally, they have works in collections in Europe, Asia, America, and Australia.
